Here is another example of an engaging practice that, from a professional experience, fosters students’ SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT. By school engagement we mean students’ observable participation in school activities, sense of belonging to classmates and teachers, and valuing success in school-related goals.

Description of the practice: The topic and the importance of the rainforest is explored in a project-like way through 7 stations and a joined chocolate making activity using all the senses on a whole school day

Why?: This topic concerns everyone, as children can also contribute to the protection of the rainforest through their consumption behaviour.
