Here is another example of an engaging practice that, from a professional experience, fosters students’ SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT. By school engagement we mean students’ observable participation in school activities, sense of belonging to classmates and teachers, and valuing success in school-related goals.

Description of the practice: Every Monday at 2 pm a student/teacher/class or group presents by videoconference (TEAMS platform ) a proposal/suggestion on a topic/problem resolution or practice that the general school community should adopt. The project is based in the students’ ideas and suggestions and they share small gestures that can make a difference. Changing behaviors that may seem harmless and that can encourage an active participation by everyone from the school regardless of age, different opinions or status; this is essential in this project. All the school members are open to participate and try to make suggestions to improve it.
