The students choose (…)

Here is another example of an engaging practice that, from a professional experience, fosters students’ SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT. By school engagement we mean students’ observable participation in school activities, sense of belonging to classmates and teachers, and valuing success in school-related goals.

Description of the practice: The students choose a question to a certain topic and research facts and create a poster with paintings, envelopes, cards and whatever they like. At the end the pupils do a quiz about the presented Lapbooks.

Accessible to any student: yes

Meaningful participation for every student: yes

Why?: They can work on their own interests and on their own strengths. Because of the quiz in the end everybody gets all the information concerning this topic.
