Here is another example of an engaging practice that, from a professional experience, fosters students’ SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT. By school engagement we mean students’ observable participation in school activities, sense of belonging to classmates and teachers, and valuing success in school-related goals.

Main subjects involved: Social skills

ICT involvement:  no

Description of the practice: At the beginning of the morning, there is always the same place and adult with whom to go over the day’s programme and have a chat. Together with the student, a plan of action is agreed on. This practice helps  students to commit to school through the help of an adult.

Meaningful participation for every student: no

Why?: No one practice fits all.
